Coaching is available for any level of climber, from V0 to V17 and beyond!

useful. coaching is what I call “long form coaching”, built around unlimited conversation, rather than the industry standard of limited check-ins, and paid consultations. You really can book as many video calls as you need, and text message between. This facilitates progressive discussion, and the time for us to create, and explore strategies that will successfully support your unique needs, goals, and within your unique life, and inevitably changing schedule.

Coaching is a blend of applied nutrition and supplementation, cognitive behavioural coaching methodologies, including somatic, metacognitive, mindfulness, and directed imagination. As a qualified personal trainer, we are also able to discuss your existing training on an informed level.

Rather than a linear program, useful. coaching is an evolving process, where strategies will be applied as needed. One week we may be exploring supplementation protocols, the next how to affect the nervous system for more responsive power output, and the next cognitive behavioural strategies to help with anxiety and self-efficacy.

This is the benefit of unlimited open conversation, we have the space to explore everything we can identify together, which may benefit your developmental journey.

Let’s start!

  1. Please complete the coaching profile, if you have not already
  2. Once I receive your profile, I will reply to confirm, and ask you to…
  1. On our initial call, I introduce you to your coaching resources, discuss your profile, explain the core concepts and approach, look over your food journal, discuss your personalised nutrition guidelines, and build out your initial strategies which you can apply immediately. We book our next call, ideally for the next week.
  2. On our second call, we discuss your feedback from the last week, continue to build out and refine your strategies, discuss supplementation, body composition, and answer any further questions. We book our next call.
  3. Coaching continues forwards, keeping ongoing conversation, notes, feedback and action points within your message thread. Updating your Google sheet development journal, and refining your strategies. You can even book seperate calls for mindfulness and directed imagination sessions.
  4. As we come towards the end of the initial 6 weeks, you have to the option to continue on a monthly basis.

Pricing

Coaching is £250 for 6 weeks, starts from our first video call, and can be extended monthly, which decreases in price each month extension (1st, 2nd), before remaining at £100 per month indefinitely.

Please be aware that coaching is not suitable for those who have existing eating disorders. This specific counselling and therapeutic work requires a specialist, and is outside of Tom Herbert’s current scope of practice.
